Happy Halloween!

So bad news.........I know I told you I was going to tell you what Angie was having but that little stinker wouldn't cooperate so now this aunt has to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks to find out what he/she is!!!! UGH!

Doesn't it already know how excited I am for it to be here and to let this aunt know what it is so I can start shopping for it. This is my last niece or nephew and I will probably be in tears the day I leave the hospital. Being an aunt is one my greatest titles and one I don't take for granted! On my favorites list, it's in the top 5 for sure! Why, because I can spoil spoil spoil and then send home!

So on another note, it is Halloween and because I do love Halloween and the fact that I am NOT dressing up this year, I wanted to show you my Halloween costumes I have had over the years. I try to be a cleaver as can be (sometimes it worked, sometimes it was a fail) but I always made sure to have fun. I don't like being scared so I try to see the happy side of Halloween. The costumes, the games, the candy!!!!

From what I remember, 2008 was the first year Bobby and I went to a Halloween party together. We went as Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo, cause at the time, they were dating! I bought a blonde wig and I wore UGGs if I'm not mistaken. And I borrowed my sister's pregnancy bra and stuffed them with socks :) hahaha

The next year, 2009, I went as a football player and he went as a 300 knight. We didn't think we were going to make it to that party because we had gone down to A&M to watch a football game but we got back just in time and this was all we could find to wear.

2010, Bobby and I went as Snooki and Pauly D. He sprayed his hair jet black and put so much gel in it. It was gross. My mom had this old leopard print dress that was to the floor but since she didn't want it anymore, I took it and cut it short, stuffed my bra again, wore slippers, made a huge puff on my head, sprayed myself orange and away I went! I wish I could have found a better photo but this was before Instagram and before I was on Facebook.

2011 brought the movie Sucker Punch (still one of my favorite movies) so Kristen, Julie and I went as the sucker punch girls. I went as Baby Doll, Julie went as Sweet Pea and Kristen went as Blondie. I loved this year. We did the normal Halloween party at someone's house and then we left and headed out to Oaklawn. It was a crazy night but I loved every minute of it. I dyed my hair blonde for the night and didn't eat a single carb all week for it.

This is a classic Lewis photo. Hahahaha

So in 2012, I had to have a costume I could wear to work as well. So it was pretty tame. I went as Animal, well a girl version of Animal. I think I accidently shrunk that shirt and gave it Landry. I could be mistaken.....so if I haven't, Kara...does Landry want this?

And here we are...2013.....with my favorite costume I have ever worn. My Miley Cyrus costume for the VMA awards. I even got down to the littlest details including a chain necklace, a teddy bear, nude underwear sticking out the sides and big white platform shoes. It was a good thing I won best costume that year because I worked really hard on everything.

Oh and what's this blog without a blast from the past photo from me in 1989 in my dance costume! I mean.....wasn't I the cutest thing EVER!!!! Heaven help me if I ever have a little girl who looks like that. Not to toot my own horn but come on.....!!!
And I remember this Halloween because of the costume.  I remember it being itchy where the polka-dotted shirt was attached to the black part. I carried that pumpkin bucket for years. I wonder if my mom still has it. That's my sister Kara in the blue behind me and Jill and Heather Moore too.

See I love Halloween!!!!! I hope you do to. Stay safe tonight on the streets. Oh and gets lots and lots of candy!!!!!!!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!

What's wrong with a little Cinn?

It's HERE.
It's BACK.
I'm EXCITED.
I have been craving it since it left last March.

Say Hello To My Little Friend!!!!!!!!
Angry Orchard Cinnful Apple Cider.

It seriously is the best tasting cider out there that comes in a flavor! It's thick and savory and taste like cinnamon apples. But not a spicy cinnamon, a sweet cinnamon. They describe it as "Our Cinnful Apple Cider is crisp and refreshing with a spicy twist, the sweet, slightly tart apple flavor is balanced with cinnamon spice, adding hints of cocoa and a slight heat."

Ohhh Angry Orchard....you are being too modest! What you should say is how in that first swig it knocks you off your feet with cinnamon spice but then gets you all giddy with the slightly sweet apple flavor that is surly to please even the biggest skeptics.

Now, if you don't like cinnamon apple flavored anything, then no, you wont really like it. Cider is the gluten free version of beer to me. I use to love beer but now I cant drink it. Now...beer and cider taste NOTHING alike so don't go grabbing one thinking its going to have that malty flavor. It has an apple flavor because its made from apples. DUH!

Angry Orchard is by far my favorite cider company. They make amazing flavors besides this one. They make Crisp Apple, Green Apple, Elderflower, Cinnful Apple, Apple Ginger and Traditional Dry. They also have their Cider House collection which involves Strawman, Iceman and The Muse.
But my favorite and one I stock up on because it is only out for a short time is Cinnful Apple.

What I love to do is go to the website www.angryorchard.com (please be 21 to enter) and find the link for recipes. You can make some of the most amazing cocktails from Angry Orchard ciders. I am going to share some of my favorites that I hope you try too!

Angry Balls
1 Angry Orchard Crisp Apple
1 shot of Fireball
Pour the Fireball in and pour the cider on top (they show it with ice, I like to do mine without ice)

Angry Orcha-Rita
1 Angry Orchard Crisp Apple
1.5oz of Tequila
1/2oz Triple Sec
In a salted glass with ice, pour the tequila and triple sec in and then pour the angry orchard over it. Stir.

Angry Poinsettia
1 Angry Orchard Crisp Apple
0.5oz Triple Sec
3oz cranberry juice
In a champagne flute, pour the triple sec and cranberry in and top with angry orchard

The Patch and Orchard
1/2oz raspberry liqueur
1/2oz orange liqueur
2 orange slices
Angry Orchard Apple Ginger
Muddle orange slices in pint glass. Fill glass with ice. Add liqueurs and Angry Orchard. Pour into mixing cup and back into pint glass. Garnish with orange slice. And, you can make a large batch to serve as punch!

The Cinnful Orchard
Angry Orchard Cinnful Apple
1oz Campari
1oz cranberry juice
Pour ingredients over Ice. Stir. Garnish with stemmed maraschino cherry.

Right now at AMC theatre Grapevine Mills, when you go to their Fork and Screen or Cinema Suites side, they have 3 brand new drinks with Angry Orchard. And right now, you can get a FREE mason jar with the purchase of one (of course I have gone and done this.) These are the 3 flavors they currently have!

Angry Wildfire
Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, UV Cherry Vodka and Angry Orchard Hard Cider
(this was the one I got)

Angry Spiced Apple
Angry Orchard Hard Cider and Admiral Nelson Spiced Rum.

Berry Angry
Deep Eddy Cranberry Vodka, Angry Orchard Hard Cider and a punch of lime juice.

I love you Angry Orchard!!!!!

If you didn't know this, I actually waited till I was 21 to drink. Ok, yeah, my mom would let me try her margarita by the pool but I was that type that thought "why not wait". Let's enjoy this when I can. Let's be the responsible one and wait till I am 21 and can legally do this. I didn't see the point in getting in trouble over this. I don't always follow the rules but when it comes to spending the night in jail or getting my license taken away, I followed the rules. And then once I became 21, it wasn't that big of a deal anymore. I was free to buy what I wanted, when I wanted and how I wanted. I was glad I waited.

So with that said....
Please drink responsibly. Find a DD or Uber or a Taxi if you want a night of fun. If you don't care about other peoples lives, at least care about your own. You can still have fun and be safe. It's really simple.

I (heart) Instagram

I love Instagram. I love everything about it. It helps me keep up with the important people in my life and allows me to {stalk} get a small inside scoop on my favorite celebrities. I have been an Instagram user for over 3 years now and have learned a lot about how to take a photo on your phone camera.

If you are an Instagram user, have you ever gone back to the first photo you have ever taken and re-watched you life flash before you? Well I did it last night. I went to the first photo I ever took and kept scrolling up, watching the last 3 years of my life flash before me. Seeing where my life was then, what was important then, how I have improved on taking a selfie and how I went from no one liking my photo, to getting an average of 30 people liking my photo a day. That may not seem like a lot to you, but to me, it's a big deal.

This was my very first Instagram...
I simply wrote Cheers!
This photo was taken right after my church wedding shower.

Here is my life for the past 3 years! All by Instagram. It made me tear up last night because I really truly understand what pure happiness is.
It is in these photos. It is the love of my husband. It is in the love of my parents and siblings. It is the love of my nieces and nephews. It is that love I feel when I look into the eyes of my 2 dogs. It is seeing how much I have grown and gained and lost. I put them in order of how the last 3 years of my life were. I wish I could have put them all!
