Five on Friday

One of the best purchases I made for Brody and I was a season pass to the Fort Worth zoo. I take him once a week and he just loves running around and seeing the animals. He cracks me up making all the animal sounds and gets so excited when they get close.

two. Honest
Honest has brought out a change in their cleaning supplies. You can now buy scents and these new scents are incredible. Coastal Surf, Lavender Field and Grapefruit Grove. They also have an unscented line and a new baby line. I am so excited for these.

three. National Coffee Day
Today is national coffee day but national coffee day is every day to me. If you had to pick just one way to have coffee...what would it be? For me, my Nespresso Machine and flavored creamer. As much as I love my PSL, I love my Nespresso machine. (and I love George....he just stays handsome no matter his age)

four. Batman
Brody saw this mask at Target and had to have it. Makes me laugh every time he wears it. He walks around the house saying Roar. He has no idea who Batman is yet, he just finds it fun.

The Emerald Sky sale ends today so don't miss out. FALL10 for 10% off one shirt (or SHOPDL for 15% off) and FALL25 for 25% off two or more shirts.

Sick Day

Dear Diary,

I had a really big blog planned today about something Bobby and I are doing but I have come down with a stomach bug so I am getting some rest today and don't have the time to go into it. I promise I will explain it next week. I am looking forward to telling you all about it, I just need my rest today (especially while Brody sleeps).

Thanks for understanding and come back tomorrow for my Five on Friday!

Deal of the Day

Today's deal goes to the store called Michael's. They are having 60% off all Halloween items today only. Some stuff is online and others are in store. There is no code needed. Prices will reflect in store or online shopping cart. Michael's already has great pricing so this is just icing, cool whip, sprinkles and a cherry on top!

Decorating my home is my favorite thing to do so I am stocking up on this stuff cause of how good the pricing is! You should too.

Fabletic's Shoes

So you all know I am a huge fan of Fabletics's clothes. I practically live them and I swear by them. Over the last week, they released shoes. They are more athletic style shoes and they are adorable. I bought 4! They are incredible. I am so excited about these.

Here's the deal, you must be a VIP Fabletics member to get these. Which is super easy to do. All you do is sign up. They charge $49.95 a month, which is the amount of one outfit, and you can skip any month you don't want to purchase anything. They will not charge you if you skip and you can skip as many months as you would like. You forget to skip? That money just goes into your account for the next time you shop so you would have a credit.

Let's get back to the shoes! I just wanna show you a few (my favs) so you get an idea. There are more on the website and some of these come in different colors.

They have around 11 or 12 different ones and I can't wait for them to bring more out! They start at $39.95 just fyi.

Shop Small

I have decided that each week I want to feature a shop small store or photographer or makeup or something like that. I shop so many big box stores that I do my best to shop locally and small whenever I can. I think it's extremely important to buy from these places because it is how they make their money. It is people doing what they love and putting out really good products and they should be supported.

Today's shop small that I want to talk about is my dear girlfriends at Emerald Sky. Yes, I am a brand rep for them but before I was a brand rep, I bought constantly because I actually generally love their products. They don't skip corners, they don't send crappy products and they don't over price. I grew up with these 3 sisters and I just adore them because they are good people. I know I talk about them a lot (I have my discount code for Christ sake) but it's because I want you to help support them. Keep this company going!

They are having a huge sale right now and just released some new products. Purchase one shirt and get 10% off with code FALL10 (or use my discount code SHOPDL for 15% off) or purchase 2 or more shirts and get 25% off with code FALL25. The sale ends Friday.

They also just released these two new children's shirts and Brody's have already been purchased!

And my new favorite for women is this....because it is so TRUE.
Comes in a muscle tank, a regular tank and a v-neck.

For reference I wear a small, Brody is a 2T and Bobby wears a Large. To me, they run a hair big (but wash beautifully) so I would get the size you normally would get, unless you like a loose fit.

If there are any shop small things you think I should know about, let me know. Or something I should feature...I am all ears!

Five on Friday

They are once again having a huge sale and have added a few new shirts like the one below for children. They have as well add a few new shirts for women. Here are details for the sale.... 10% off one shirt with code FALL10 or 25% off with the purchase of 2 or more shirts with code FALL25. The sale is running 9/22-9/29. Don't hesitate.

two. Haircut
He got another hair cut by the great Ralph. We had him go a little shorter because it is growing so fast.

I am awful at eating breakfast. It is the hardest meal for me because I am usually not very hungry when I wake up. I want my coffee and then in about an hour or so, I will eat. I have always been like that. But on rushed mornings (which is like 3-4 days a week) I have to make myself something easy and on the go mostly. When I was at Target this week, making my weekly run, I found these protein-packed power waffles by Kodiak Cakes. There are 3 flavors, Buttermilk & Vanilla, Blueberry Chia and Dark Chocolate. I bought the buttermilk and vanilla because it had the least amount of sugar (which I am trying to cut) and more protein (which I am trying to up). DELICIOUS. I do want to get the chocolate one next and see.

four. Apple iPhone update
I updated my phone (and watch) the other day and I am loving the new update. Sometimes I can't tell after an update but this time I can. My favorite new feature is the Do Not Disturb While Driving feature. It turns my text messages and notifications off while I am driving. There is a way to get into my phone if I need maps or music, but the feature is to help eliminate you using your phone. I wish they had brought this out sooner.

five. PSL
I made a joke that I drink way to many PSL's in the fall and someone asked me if I had to guess how many, what would the number be? Well I have no idea so I started keeping count. Since they came out, I have had 9! I have tried them every way except frap style which is next on the list. How many have you had?

Colton

Dear Diary,

I just want to say Happy Birthday to my nephew Colton. He is 8 today!

I can't believe he is 8. Time is flying by. I love this kid so much. He is so good with Brody. And I know it comes from him being an older brother to Jace but he doesn't have to be good with Brody. He chooses to because he has an incredible heart and he just loves Brody. Oh and you want to know who my favorite person to get a hug from is....Colton. Just ask him for hug and be prepared. He is fun and smart and I just adore him.

Colton,
I hope you have the best birthday. Thank you so much for being such an amazing nephew and awesome cousin. You are such a great example to Brody and I just love you. Happy Birthday!

Love, Aunt Dani

Fall Fashion 2017

Friday is the first official day of Fall and I am so ready. Good bye hot, boiling days. Hello sweater weather and boots!

Fall fashion is my favorite. You don't have to bundle up to much like you do in winter and you can still manage to stay outside for a long time and not burn up or die from frost. I have found my favorite fall 2017 trends for this year.

It seems the trend for this fall season is over sized cardigans and skinny jeans. Keeping the colors neutral is in this fall too.

If you are going to add a color, make it red. Red will be the hot color this season. Like this purse...someone please buy this purse for me!

If you are into a pantie hose/tight look with a skirt...make it fishnet. They make so many different kinds of fishnet hosiery now. Did y'all know Julia Roberts has her own line of hosiery? Find it ~here~ and be prepared to be amazed.

Speaking of skirts, mid-length seems to be in or it was at all the fashion shows. High waisted as well (which I love).

Now for the thing we all love the most...shoes.
For fall this year, go with a slouchy boot.

You can also go with lace up booties.

Want something more casual? Try a Loafer or a Mule (loafers have backs, mules you slip on)

Western is in this fall season as well.

So is floral when it comes to shoes. (give me give me give me)

I don't know about you but I am ready.
Just FYI: all of these photos came from Pinterest. I didn't tell you where to get any of these things because I simply want you to have some fun on your next shopping trip but be aware of what is in. H&M, Dillard's, Macy's, Nordstrom's, Target...place like that are going to have all of these trends. Buy a few expensive staples and go cheap on everything else.

Emmy Winner's 2017

Last night the Emmy's were on TV and in case you missed it, you can see all the winners below.

Best dressed for me goes to Nicole Kidman. Man did she look beautiful in Calvin Klein!

Big Little Lies crushed the Emmy's last night winning every category it was nominated for (except for one). This Is Us only got one award so that pissed me off some but whatev. The Handmaid's Tale won a lot so that makes me want to watch it even more but I have to get HULU first (cue my eye roll). Oh and of course Veep won stuff....heaven forbid something else other than them win.

As much as I love Nicole and LOVED her speech.....I kinda wanna know what she got like 4 minutes to speak and Sterling K. Brown got like 2? Something doesn't seem right to me.
