17 weeks

How far along? 17 weeks

Total weight gain? None. I am actually less than what I was at 9 weeks. Due to getting super sick, my weight dropped. Hoping to catch up in the next couple of weeks to make sure the baby gets enough.

Sleeping? Ugh.....as much as I love sleep, it comes and goes for me. I sleep about 6 hours a night and I try to take a 1 hour nap while Brody naps. I think once we move and get settled, I will sleep better but right now, I just have to much on the brain and I can't shut it off.

Best or worst moment this week? Best: furniture shopping for our new home. Took everything out of us, but it was fun picking out new stuff for the house. Worst: getting sick. I would never wish that on my worst enemy.

Do I miss anything? Having control over my body. Feeling normal. Sushi.

Aversions? Well since I haven't eaten much this week, not really. I've mainly stuck to crackers, cheese, watermelon and cuties.

Pregnancy symptoms? If it's a symptom, I got it. Like seriously.

Looking forward to? Brody has a Christmas program tonight and I can't wait.

Gender? January 11!

Name? Gotta know gender

Due date? May 24, 2018

I had a doctors appointment today and the heartbeat was great. She wasn't worried but said I needed to up my calorie intake. I am burning way to much during the day and not replenishing it. I need to eat about 2000 calories and I am only in-taking around 1100-1300. So I have to start eating every 2-3 hours and up my water intake to 90 ounces a day.
Wish me luck!

Sick day

I can't believe I didn't blog yesterday. It was the first time since I have started the blog that I didn't write anything (except holidays or vacations).

Actually I can.

I was incredibly sick. Both Bobby and I caught some sort of bug and it completely wiped us out. To the point where we both had to go to an Urgent Care to get IV's. We couldn't keep anything down and I started worrying about dehydration and ended up dehydrated so the only thing that made me feel better was that IV. I was there for about 3 hours while they helped me.

Thank you to those who reached out to me and prayed for me. I greatly appreciated it.

So that's it for today because I am still out of it and need some rest.

No five today

No five on Friday today. I do apologize. From now until the new year, the blog may be running a tad behind. With us finding a house, we move 3 days before Christmas so when Brody naps, I try to take care of as much as I can around the house, so cutting into my blog time. So if you ever come a day and there isn't a blog, just know that is why. As much as it kills me, I have so much to do around here and little time to do it. All with Christmas shopping and everything else this holiday season brings. And being pregnant...let's not forget that.
Once we get settled in our new home the blog will resume everyday like normal, it's just these next 2-3 weeks may be a little off. Thank you in advance for your patience and your dedication to coming to this blog.

16 weeks

How far along? 16 weeks

Total weight gain? 2 pounds which doesn't shock me since I hadn't gained anything and then all of a sudden I look pregnant and am eating full meals again.

Sleeping? Still at an incline but much better this week. I have had a bad cold but I am sleeping because I am allowed to take a nighttime medicine that helps.

Best or worst moment this week? Best: finally finding a home to move to. We have been searching and finally found the right one and these next 2 weeks are going to be so chaotic but this house we found is worth it. I can't wait to share all about it. Worst: being sick and not being able to do much about it. There is only a handful of things I can take so my cold last longer than normal. Plus my immune system is shot so it just makes the recovery time so much worst.

Do I miss anything? Being able to work out full out. I am starting to notice things I can't do fully and not because I can't do them. But because my body won't allow me to do it.

Aversions? Nothing this week which is shocking. I always don't like chicken but this week I craved Wing Stop so I got some on my meat day.

Pregnancy symptoms? My belly finally popped. I actually look pregnant and not just out of shape. I love it. If you say something to me about food, and I don't have it in front of me and it's something I love, I will sit and think about it. And think and think and think until I give in and go get it. I will go days like that and then BAM...gotta have it at that moment.

Looking forward to? Hearing the heartbeat next Thursday at my 17 week appointment.

Gender? Wish I knew but still feeling like it's a girl.

Name? Gotta find out if boy or girl first.

Due date? May 24, 2018

Shop Small

My today shop small is not a company but an individual. And her name is Betsy Jones. And her talent is photography. She is the owner of Swink Photography and she is by far one of the best photographers I have ever worked with. Not only is she good at picture taking, she is incredible with kids, understands that they are not always going to sit still and look pretty. She embraces that and ends up capturing the best photos. When I went to her to take our Christmas/Baby Announcement photos, she sent me the best places for us to choose from for location based off what I was wanting the background to be and worked around our schedule, multiple times. She also does bulk photography because I have her booked for pregnancy and first born photos as well and she gave me an amazing bundle price for it all. When the day arrived and I was stressed to the max, she kept reassuring me that these were going to be great. There was nothing to stress over, even after Brody's 4th melt down. She's calm, she's patient and she is truly one of my dearest friends. She recently got back to me the Christmas pictures and I do plan on sharing them with you closer to Christmas but here is just one them. And again, let me remind you how much of a mess I was due to a lot of different things and yet, you can't even tell.

Y'all are NOT going to believe what she is going for my blog readers. Book by the end of 2017 for 2018 and she will give you 10% off her photography packages. And you can book anytime for 2018, not just for specific months but you must book by the end of 2017 and mention my blog when booking so she knows!!!

Enchant

Last night, we took Brody to Enchant in Arlington

Never heard of it? It's amazing. It is the largest Christmas light display maze in the US. It's like walking through a Christmas light wonderland. They have fake snow flying around and Santa is there. There are food trucks and an ice skating pond. If I wasn't pregnant, I would have been ice skating. Words can't even describe it seriously. It's kind of expensive but Sunday's are the cheapest to go. It averages $21-$30 a person and kids under 4 are free. There are 3 different start times (5pm, 7pm and 8pm) and it just helps with crowd control. They don't kick you out when your time is up, it is simply to just help the amount of people they allow in at one time. I took more video than photos last night but here are a few I snapped, included this kid rocking it with Santa.

These were my favorite photos of the night. The pure joy in Brody's face is the whole meaning of this holiday. I wish I could live everyday in these lights with this happy carefree child of mine.

I highly recommend this to anyone. It's one of those things you just need to experience for yourself.
Because I took so many videos and not photos, I found this YouTube video showing you some of the features so you could see for yourself.

Five on Friday

one. Queso is life
I took Brody on a little date last night because daddy was helping Aunt Angie move into their new home and his face when the queso came. I make the same face, I just don't take a picture of myself when it comes.

They are having a 10 for $35 panty sale. All you have to do is join their pink nation line (it's free) and you get the deal.

three. Christmas Tree
We weren't going to put up Christmas since we move 4 days before Christmas this year but every time Brody saw a Christmas tree anywhere, he lit up. So Bobby and I decided that our tree was super simple to put up and that would be it. Brody loves it. He was so excited and he doesn't care nothing is on it but lights and a star. I love my 10 and 1/2 foot tree! We also got a choo-choo train to go around it this year.

four. Grammy's crew
Last weekend, Bobby went to help his brother put up his mom's Christmas lights and decided to take Brody this year to play. Well he didn't play much cause he was busy helping her and Kent, Maddyn and Billie Marie put up her Christmas tree. She said he did a good job but who knows. I stayed home and rested. They sure are some of the cutest kiddo's EVER!

Today starts their 12 days of Christmas and each day they are offering a new deal (like today is 12% off everything with code 12DAYS). You must be an email subscriber or follow them on Instagram to get these deals. They are fantastic and make some of the best stuff.

15 weeks

Welcome to the weekly pregnancy update. I did this with Brody and loved it. I answered a lot of questions with Brody so I narrowed it down to my favorites this time since I didn't see the need to tell you if my belly button is in each week or if I am in maternity clothes. I will include that in pregnancy symptoms if something dramatic happens. I had the pups in the pictures when I was pregnant with Brody but it was too hard to try to get all 3 of them with me so this time around it will just be Brody with me.

How far along? 15 weeks

Total weight gain? None. I am the same weight I was when I went in for my 9 week appointment. I had been sick so that's why the no weight gain and the food aversions have been much more awful this go around so I didn't eat much till about 13 weeks.

Sleeping? In an inclined position on the couch. It's just where I am most comfortable and that's all that matters at the moment. My blood pressure is different this go around so to lay flat cause my face to get red so I have to be inclined a tad to sleep comfy.

Best or worst moment this week? Best: Everyone at the gym finally knowing I am pregnant. It has been such a secret for so long that it was nice to walk in to the gym and everyone know. As far as worst goes, nothing to be honest. My skin maybe but that's going on 2 weeks now so it's not a "new" thing this week.

Do I miss anything? Wine. Non pregnancy skin (it's an issue I will discuss next week because it's worth it's own blog on what happened to me last week).

Cravings? Sweets/Sugar. If it is cake, cupcakes, candy, chocolate, dessert type stuff...just hand it over and walk away.

Aversions? Meat. Which helps since I am 90% vegetarian anyways. I am finding I have a lot more aversions this time around. Besides meat, I can't think of things specifically, it's just at the time I go to eat and I look at everything and walk away. I have been also avoiding spicy food and not because I don't want it, but because it burns my lips and then I get heartburn. I am telling y'all...this baby is taking me for all I got!

Pregnancy symptoms? All of them. This time around has been worse for me. I've been sick, my hormones are all over the place, my skin is awful. I know I am chasing a 2 year old as well but I feel more tired. My doctor upped my thyroid medicine to see if that helps and I can tell a small difference.

Looking forward to? Finding out the gender. It's all I think about. My gut tells me it's a girl but I am sure I am 50% right :-) But another boy would be just as wonderful!

Gender? Find out Jan. 11

Name? Have to find out sex first but we have a girl name already and I believe we have 2 boy names we like. Which is so much farther along than with Brody cause that kiddo wasn't named till an hour before we had him!

Due date? May 24, 2018. I will have a c-section again so I will get to chose a date but that won't be till about 8 weeks ahead of it's due date.

Blog cut short

Dear Diary,

I had a whole blog planned out to tell you about how I found out I was pregnant and my road that lead up to that but A LOT has come up today so I am going to have to save that for another day.

Long story short, we finally sold our home but now don't have a home to move into so we have been looking all day to find one. Our time is running short so I do apologize for a short blog today because I have to get back to that.

I do plan on doing my 15 week update tomorrow and a belly picture for you all to see so come back tomorrow for a more exciting blog.

Future Friend

With Thanksgiving tomorrow, I thought this would make for a great gift for those in my life. I honestly didn't think we would, but we decided too and here we are and there's no going back.
SURPRISE!

Due May 24th and already so loved!

Can we just point out a few things from this photo:
~I can already tell I am showing so much faster with this one and my face is already swelling because of it. (cue the eye roll)
~Brody has no desire for another child if you can tell.
~We all need tans!

Here are few more of my favorites

So yes, that makes me almost 14 weeks pregnant (tomorrow) and it's been the hardest thing keeping quiet about. I promise to fill you all in next week and will start my weekly blogs like I did for Brody.

Thank you Betsy (Swink Photography) for doing this secretive shoot for us and keeping it on the down-low for oh so long. We sure do love you friend!

Also a HUGE shout out to my girls at Emerald Sky for making Brody's and baby's shirts. When I told them, all they could do was ask "how could they make it extra special for me" and this is what they come up with. I had nothing to do with the design of these shirts and was so blessed they came up with something super quick for me. You girls have my heart and I love y'all! Go to yesterday's blog to see their amazing Black Friday sale!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

The Walking Dead Monday is no more

Guys I am sorry but I have chosen to not do The Walking Dead Monday's anymore.

This season is just not worth it. Is it so slow and honestly not what it use to be. I have decided that if something big happens this season, like Rick killing Negan or Maggie killing Gregory or something totally worth talking about, I will blog it and we can discuss.

But till then....I do apologize. But I leave you with my main man and if they ever kill him off....TWD will be no more to me!

I have an INCREDIBLE Black Friday sale for you on tomorrow's blog. So come back tomorrow and see!

One on Friday

I know I normally do five today and I had stuff to share but both Bobby and I thought it was necessary that I showcase just one today because it seriously is the one of the best things I have found and totally deserved it's own blog!

BEST MASHED POTATOES I HAVE EVER HAD. And they aren't bad for you because she incorporates cauliflower. She has a whole line of the O, That's Good and I can't wait to try them all. They are healthier alternatives than the real thing without taking away the flavor. I am dead serious when I say BEST MASHED POTATOES! They are creamy beyond cream. Oh man. Bobby and I just stared at each other like "ummm are you eating what I'm eating..?" Go to the store and by them (they are in the refrigerated section of your grocery store). Hell......use them for Thanksgiving next week and NO ONE will know! Your secret is save.

She has sides (mashed potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, three cheese pasta and creamy parmesan pasta) and she has soups (baked potato soup, creamy butternut squash soup, broccoli cheddar soup and creamy tomato basil soup). I have every intention of buying it all next shopping trip, included a cart full of those mashed potatoes. These aren't vegan but they are vegetarian which is totally for me!

Next week I will only be blogging Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and taking Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Honey

Dear Diary,

On Monday of this week, a very special lady went to be with Jesus. My very dear sweet Margie Bates aka Bobby's grandmother aka Honey. She may have not been "my" grandmother by blood, but you best believe I claim her.

What a women she was. She lived to be 95.....95 can you image? All the historical events she went through. The presidents. The changing of times. She witnessed it all. She was a strong opinionated women who I just adored. She always made me laugh with her honesty and always made sure to give me a kiss and hug when she saw me and when she left. I will miss her blue eye shadow and her crazy Christmas gifts. I will miss her eye rolls and how Brody won't get to know her like I have.

Honey-
You will forever be one of my favorite people. I will truly miss you and I am so glad you are not hurting anymore. That you are reunited with your man, that you have gotten to meet Aubrey and Benjamin and be there with them! I pray you know how loved you are and until I see you again...
