The Walking Dead Monday

Reviewing: TWD: Season 8: Episode 4: Some Guy

SPOILERS AHEAD. Some of the bullet points might give things away so please STOP reading now if you don't want to know anything. Also, they are in no particular order.

Can we just take a minute for Shiva? I couldn't even watch the scene. Couldn't watch her sacrifice herself for her master. Ugh....tears over a fake tiger! But the feeling was so real and the love felt so real so I am not ashamed.

Alright....let's get to it.

  • Almost all of Ezekiel's people die. He gets shot in the leg in all the madness. Carol and Jerry are the only survivers besides E. Jerry ends up saving E after a Savior tries to kidnap him and Jerry chops the guy up with an ax. Carol is inside the building after the guns and after some quick moves and killing a few, she sees Jerry and E in trouble. She ends up helping them but in return has to leave the guns behind.
  • Now we know where all the guns Rick and Daryl have been looking for are. Where Ezekiel and his people get blasted at.
  • Just when you think the saviors are getting away with the guns, the dynamic duo shows up and an awesome car chase gives way. R and D end up getting the guns in the end.
  • Carol, Jerry and E have to escape on foot but because the king the shot, he slows them down. Jerry keeps calling him 'the king' and he finally screams at Jerry that he is no king, he is just some guy and he says it without his accent. He wants them to leave him because they are getting chased by the nastiest zombies but that's when Shiva springs in. She takes out a lot of them but not enough and they take her out.
  • After C, J and E manage to return to the kingdom, no one has any speeches. No one says a word. E is defeated because all his people are dead and the thing he loved the most is gone. When his people try to greet him, he just walks past.

Thoughts along the way:

  • Finally TWD is back. It was fast paced and full of life. Not boring or speech after speech after speech.
  • You could actually follow along to this episode. It wasn't confusing nor jumbled like the others have been this season.
  • In my heart of hearts, I don't thank a massive size tiger could not get away. She's manage to survive this long...seemed like maybe they didn't want the CGI bill anymore to create her but oh well.
  • Again no Negan but this episode I didn't miss him. It was jammed pack but I do hope we find out soon what the hell is going on with him.

Where does it go now?
  • Ezekiel is a changed man so if I had to guess, he might come clean to the rest of his people like he did Jerry.
  • Now that Rick and Daryl got the guns, they really do have the advantage now. I just don't know how many more Saviors there are and how they all get back to Negan.
