Green Meadows

Dear Diary,

Every year for the past couple of years the Lewis family has gone to the pumpkin patch at Green Meadows. Not only is it a pumpkin patch, it is a petting farm too. This year was by far my favorite because I got to see it through Brody's eyes. One thing you need to know is that Brody LOVES animals. Like if there was a dog at one side and momma on the other, momma would lose every time. So he was in heaven.
I took a lot of pictures so let's get to it.

I love this Lewis family of mine

Love, Me

I hope you all have a great weekend. I won't be blogging tomorrow due to my weekend away but I will back on Monday.

San Antonio advice

I am so excited for this weekend. Why you ask? Because Friday morning, Bobby, Kara, Tim, my Mom and my Dad and myself are leaving for a long weekend to San Antonio.

You see how I didn't write Brody, Landry or Hayden.
That's right. Kid FREE!

I love my child. You all know this. But to be able to sit down at a restaurant and not have to leave after 5 minutes is a luxury these days. He's just at the awful age of going to do anything that requires longer than a certain time.

I asked a girlfriend of mine (Jasmine) about some things to do, places to eat in San Antonio (she goes a lot) and she delivered but I want to ask y'all as well. Hotel we have and Saturday we are doing a wine tour in Fredericksburg but besides that, nothing.
We are not doing the Alamo (already did it) and I do know the Riverwalk area but I am not familiar with the restaurants  I just need some food suggestions or things to go to or try. You all are always so good about giving advice, so I thought why not!
Thank you in advance!

Couple Shower

On Sunday, Jeff and Becca Egger and Bobby and I threw our good friends, David and Jasmine, a couple shower. David and Jasmine are probably two of my all time favorite people. David, Bobby and Jeff all grew up together so they have been best friends since before they remember. And when David brought Jasmine around, we begged David to not screw it up. She was not only beautiful, she was incredible sweet and smart and you could tell she had a great spirit about her. David himself is a catch, don't get me wrong. But when someone you love and have grown up with, meets someone you instantly fall in love with, you tend to be their biggest fans.

And now they are getting married and Bobby and Jeff are groomsmen, and Charlotte (Jeff and Becca's daughter) is their flower girl and Brody is their ring bearer and I couldn't be more thrilled or excited for this wedding on New Years.

I didn't get many photos from the shower cause I was so busy being host and keeping an eye on my child. But I did happen to get a few of the food Becca and I prepared/bought. Becca made two different cakes and chocolate chip cookies and brought the most beautiful flower arrangements. I made my queso and Bobby made his guacamole. We got tamales from The Tamale Company and ordered chicken and beef quesadillas from this Mexican restaurant down the street. We had different flavored popcorn and beer and wine and the football game going. It was like one big party.

Brody of course was the hit with the women. His game was on point when he saw Jasmine's friends sitting around my couch.

David and Jasmine,
Besides you two and maybe your families, I am so excited for this wedding. I am so excited to see the two of you become husband and wife and start this journey together. Being married is one of the most special beautiful things you go through in life and finding that one person to walk through it with you, is a gift from God.
Love one another * Forgive one another * Talk to one another * Always ask each others permission * Hold hands as often as you can * Have lots of sex (because your married now) * Tell each other I love you as often as you feel it * And never ever forget that you are in this not only together, but with God and it is God that will lead you where you both need to go, TOGETHER.

Love your most favorite person, Dani

Angie

Happy birthday to Angie.
Angie is one of the most outgoing, friendly, beautiful people I have ever known. She was actually the first Lewis to tell Bobby how much she liked me when we first starting dating. She is always there for me, always knows a way to keep me smiling, is the best wine drinking buddy and cooks the most amazing food. Not only is she my sister in law, she is one of my best friends! Words can't describe how much I love her. I hope you had a great birthday yesterday and I love you so very much!

Five on Friday

one. Choker
These are my new favorite accessory this season. I love them so much. And they aren't expensive. I got this one from Target for $9! I have a few more from Target but I have seen them other places.

two. The Chica Show
This show saves me most days. We discovered it last week. It's on Sprouts at 10:37am and it holds his attention for a good 10 minutes. And you might be thinking, 10 minutes? That's not very long. But y'all....I can get so much done in 10 minutes. Or I can just collect my thoughts and be by myself for that long. I just love this show and I am so thankful I found it.

three. Live Love Pop
Probably one the best popcorns I have ever had! We buy it in the lime fresco but they have multiple different flavors (honey bbq, truffle salt, sea salt, salt & vinegar and the lime). DELICIOUS! 35 calories per cup. The lime almost has a dill pickle taste. I am a night time snacker. And I find these to satisfy that craving and I don't feel guilty about it. Click on their name next to the three to take you to their website for more information.

four. Payless BOGO 1/2 off
I am always looking for new shoes. Mostly new boots. I am a huge lover of boots. Tall, short, mid, love them all. But I hate spending a lot on them. This is why I go to Payless during their BOGO 1/2 off because I can get 2 pairs of boots for under $60 usually. My newest favorite are these brown booties I got. They were on sale for $40 and I got Brody a pair of "Timberland" boots for our coming up photo shoot in a couple of weeks for $15. I hate spending a lot on Brody's shoes too because he goes through them so fast. So his are either hand me downs or Payless because I can get them for cheap and they last. And if you buy online right now, you can get an additional 10% off (use the code ZZ10FUN). Just click on their name next to the four to take you to their website.

So there's this girl I love. And this girl's family owns a particular tamale company. But not just any tamales. The BEST tamales in the world. I love them so much, I had them at my wedding 5 years ago. If you are in need of tamales, look no further. I am serious about these. I can just pick one up and eat it. No chili, no cheese, just plain. That's how tasty they are. And right now, they have pumpkin ones! With some honey drizzled on top and you have the tastiest dessert. Or put some whipped cream and you have a tamales version of pumpkin pie! But they sell out fast on those! (If you go to the website today to order, you won't see the pumpkin. But if you wait till Monday, you will). Just click their name next to the five and it will take you their website.

Computer help

Dear Diary,

I need some help in picking out my next computer. Monday I told y'all I was having computer problems and the reason I am having computer problems is because my computer is about 7 and 1/2 years old. I have a MacBook and when I was working, I had a PC. I wasn't the biggest fan of my PC but it was my work computer and I wasn't attached to it.

A lot of people tell me to stick to my Mac. To invest in another one of the those but they are so damn expensive. The cheapest one starts at $799. And the one I really want is close to $1000.

So all you computer people, bloggers, picture takers/uploaders......what would you suggest as my next computer?

Honestly? I think everyone has a computer now and I want to know what you love/hate about it. I am not partial to a laptop. I would be willing to do a desktop. I just want to know what some good computers out there are before I invest.

And to those of you who helped me with my phone choice.....I have decided to go with the iPhone 7. And not because the Samsung's are blowing up. But because I really like the new iPhone 7's. I just don't know what color or what size I am getting. I just know that is what I have decided on.

New shows

So we are a couple of episodes into the season for TV and I am really loving my new shows.

~Every week on This Is Us, there is a surprise ending. And each week, I have been on the edge of my seat just waiting for it. The cast. The writing. The way this show makes me feel. The Big Three chant. I am so invested in this show and there have only been 4 episodes. I am so glad it got picked up for a full season. Just when you think you know what's going on, BAM....surprise ending and your back to "wait...what?"! (NBC, Tuesday @ 8pm)

~Another show I am fully invested in is Notorious. I taped this one on a whim because it followed Grey's and I thought to myself, if it follows Grey's, maybe there is something to it. Plus I love the main girl (Coyote Ugly is one of my favorite movies after all). This show is fast paced, dirty, raw, in your face. The main focus of the show is the behind the scenes look into a news show and what these people do to get their story. It also follows a murder of a celebrities wife. It's just twist and turns and I just love it. (ABC, Thursday @ 8pm)

~The next new show I have been addicted to is Designated Survivor. Kiefer Sutherland does not disappoint in this show about a cabinet member who becomes President when everyone else is killed. I have goosebumps every time I watch. I love the way they make you feel like you have become President with him. You are learning all the rules and the ins and outs. (ABC, Wednesday @ 9pm)

Now that we are a few weeks in, are there any new shows you are just loving? Maybe one I am missing out on and can get caught up on OnDemand? Let me know!
