Screw that Pretty Pretty Princess game....I wanted to be the Queen of the castle anyways!!!

Dear Diary,

I am sure you have heard because who hasn't heard of what Kim Kardashian did recently for a magazine cover. I myself like Kim. I find nothing wrong with her. I don't understand why she is famous....she has no talent but I guess in todays society it doesn't really matter. I find her to be extremely beautiful and she seriously does seem like a really nice person. When I first saw the magazine cover, I was at home skimming through Instagram and came across it on her page. I wasn't sure what to think. And I wasn't sure what to believe. Nothing in the magazine world is ever real, there's more Photoshop than anything now a days. But that's not the point. I don't have children. But I do have nieces and I refuse to let them want to be that. I am not sure why she was not banned from Instagram for showing that. People show way less and get kicked off. And then a few days later, I heard she went full frontal for the same magazine. I mean....isn't that like porn? Shouldn't that be on a site that you must be 18 years or older to go to or a magazine that comes in the mail with a sealed cover on it....like Playboy? I refuse to show the 2 pictures I am talking about. I am not helping her "break the internet"! Why would you want to go down as being the girl with the butt? Why would you not want to go down as being the girl who invented this awesome device that saves people all over the world? Or the girl who gave her money to the needy? Or the girl who started her own animal shelter and saved thousands of animals from getting hurt and slaughtered?

If I do have a daughter some day, I want her growing up with that in mind. Not, you go make a porno with some ugly dude and then have it "accidently" get leaked for the world to see, to make you into this robot that men fawn over for a few years. Oh and when that stops, lets find the most controversial person for you to marry and give you a child who you name something extremely weird for it all to go away some day in the future and you go down as the girl with the butt. I understand embracing your body and loving who you are, but you can do that with clothes on and not your bare body for the world to see.

I recently ran across an ad which was geared towards little girls. You might remember this Super Bowl commercial, but wasn't quite sure what it was (unless you went to look it up after-wards).

Well I saw it but never looked it up or anything. I went on with life like normal. But then recently like I said I came across another ad for the same company so I went and looked them up.

They are called GoldieBlox and what it is, is little girls toys that teaches them how to become engineers. At GoldieBlox, their goal is to get girls building. In a world where men largely outnumber women in science, technology, engineering and math, girls lose interest in these subjects as early as age 8.
Construction toys develop an early interest, but for over a hundred years, they've been considered "boys" toys. GoldieBlox is determined to change that. They aim to disrupt the pink aisle and inspire the future generation of female engineers. What they believe is so important in this space are role models — characters that are cool, interesting, smart, and relatable. Hopefully, Goldie and her friends provide a vital way to see all the different things that girls can be.

I am so in love with this company. I would have been all over this as a little girl. Now, don't get me wrong. I love the pink isle at the store. In fact, pink is my favorite color. But that doesn't mean I want my daughter growing up looking like Barbie. It just means I love the color pink.

So back to the ad I saw....after I got done watching it, I knew I had to share it. I knew it made this huge statement in what girls can do and be.

Isn't that wonderful? Isn't that the message we should be sending out to girls? Being strong and independent and breaking the rules of what girls can be. We don't have to be perfect little pin-ups. We can have flaws and be original and be something in the world. Not standing on a box with your ass plastered on the cover of a magazine!

I do my best not to judge people. Their life choices are their life choices. I am simply trying to make this world a better place for my future children to live in. For my children to grow up and be something or at least try to be something. Not think that everything gets handed to them on a silver platter. I want the world for my un-born children, but I also want them to want the world for themselves!

Love, Me
